Tamil lullaby launched on World Music Day News Today

Chennai: On the occasion of World Music Day Duroflex has joined hands with SaPa (Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts) led by singer-songwriter Bindu Subramaniam and violinist Ambi Subramaniam children of legendary musicians L Subramaniam and Kavita Krishnamurti. In the first of their collaboration series Duroflex Sounds of Sleep Sessions a soulful rendition of the classic Tamil lullaby 'EnnamaThozhi' has been released. The rendition of this lullaby has been performed by Bindu and Ambi Subramaniam along with young musicians from SaPa. Says Bindu “No matter where we come from we have one common element – as children someone sang us a lullaby and soothed us to sleep. said it carried forward its tradition of bringing children closer to the power of music on this world Music Day.

The rendition of this lullaby has been performed by Bindu and Ambi Subramaniam along with young musicians from SaPa. The song is about a little girl who has lost her doll and now misses it. Says Bindu “No matter where we come from we have one common element – as children someone sang us a lullaby and soothed us to sleep. This is just one of the numerous ways in which music can be a powerful medium.” Music for kids The power of music can play an instrumental role in Childrens life by instilling hope and inspiring positive outlook in them. With this objective in mind Sony YAY! said it carried forward its tradition of bringing children closer to the power of music on this world Music Day. The channel was joined by the leading musicians like Rekha Bhardwaj Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy Vishal Dadlani Shaan and Suneeta Rao who have donated their autographed musical instruments for children who otherwise might not have the privilege of its access.
