Minister denies charging men more in MTC buses News Today

Chennai: State Transport Minister Raja Kannappan today denied the allegations made by AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam that men were charged more in MTC buses. The Minister added that action has been taken against one conductor who was at fault. “More than 30 lakh women are benefited by the scheme (to provide free bus rides to women). The number of women using government buses has increased by 60 per cent” he added.
