United Way Chennai and UNICEF organised the 2nd annual CEO Run at Nehru Stadium on Sunday morning. Captain DP Ramachandran, a 1971 war veteran, declared the games open and Jayasankar Menon, former basketball captain for India, closed the ceremony. The others included a 4x100 relay, 100 m sprint, tug-of-war, couples run and the final, ‘The Last Mile,’ in which every CEO showed their commitment to the cause. While 15-year-old Sabri Venkat, a visual challenged motivational speaker from Coimbatore, was among the many children who participated in the event, 8-year-old national archery player Anoop Skandha led his team of CEOs to win the champions title.
