The district administration has issued a flood warning in River Cauvery in the wake of release of water from Mettur Dam for farm operations in the delta districts on Thursday. The quantum of release of water from the dam into the river will be informed to the public every now and then. They should not enter the river, other water bodies, supply channels for taking bath, washing purpose and fishing. The parents should ensure caution and should not allow the children to play near the water. The youths should avoid taking pictures and selfies by posing near the water.
