CBI told to issue probe report to Vishnupriya’s dad

Coimbatore: The chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court here on Thursday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to provide copies of inquiry report on the death of deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Vishnupriya to her father M Ravi.Ravi had approached the court seeking the CBI report on his daughter’s death after he was given the CB-CID report instead.Vishnupriya, who was the DSP of Tiruchengode in Namakkal district, was investigating the murder of Gokulraj, 23, a native of Omalur in Salem district. Gokulraj’s decapitated body was found near a railway track in Thiruchengode sub-division in Namakkal district in 2015.Meanwhile, she was found hanging in her residence at Tiruchengode on September 18, 2015. The case was investigated by the state police and later transferred to the CB-CID.
