CBI told to furnish copy of closure report in DSP Vishnu Priya case

Considering the plea of the counsel, Chief Judicial Magistrate S. Nagarajan directed CBI to serve a copy of the report to Mr. Ravi. Mr. Ravi later pleaded with the court for a copy of CBI's closure report. The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Coimbatore handling CBI cases directed the agency to give copy of its closure report to Mr. Ravi allegedly after it gave a report which was originally placed by the CB-CID in the case. Arulmozhi submitted that her client was not served the original report by the CBI but instead gave the old report submitted by the CB-CID (which investigated the case prior to the national agency). The CBI had filed a final report before the court in May 2018 dropping further action in the case stating that it was a suicide. Mr. Ravi later pleaded with the court for a copy of CBI's closure report. When the case was heard on Thursday, Mr. Ravi's counsel P.R. Arulmozhi submitted that her client was not served the original report by the CBI but instead gave the old report submitted by the CB-CID (which investigated the case prior to the national agency). Considering the plea of the counsel, Chief Judicial Magistrate S. Nagarajan directed CBI to serve a copy of the report to Mr. Ravi.
