Coimbatore: The food safety department seized 52kg of gutka from a shop and a godown at Sulur on Saturday.Department officials had raided 50 small shops and restaurants in and around the Sulur Bus Stand. “We found a few packets of a brand of gutka in the shop and later found the small godown attached to it,” designated food safety officer Vijayalalithambigai said. The shop’s licence was cancelled and the godown was sealed.TNN
