All train services to Kerala cancelled

Chennai Central – Trivandrum Central Superfast Express will run upto Palaghat and will return from Palaghat. Ernakulam – Barauni Rapthisagar Express scheduled to leave Ernakulam on August 17 will be partially cancelled between Ernakulam and Erode, and will originate from Erode. Coimbatore: All trains to Kerala have been cancelled. Mangalore Central – Chennai Central superfast mail will be partially cancelled between Kozhikkode – Chennai Central and same rake will be run as passenger special to Mangalore at the convenient time.The helpline numbers are 0422-230031 for Coimbatore, 0421-2200568 for Tirupur, 0424-2284812 for Erode and 04234232139 for Karur and 04272330194 for Salem. Railway officials are closely monitoring sensitive sections,” said a press statement.However the train service between Trivandrum- Ernakulam via Alleppey and Trivandrum –Tirunelveli via Nagercoil will be operated under suitable speed restrictions as required.Some trains have also been rescheduled.

Coimbatore: All trains to Kerala have been cancelled. 11 trains heading to Kerala will stop at Palakkad. This is likely to be the status till at least 4pm on August 17. All major stations in Salem division have set up refund counters and helplines, through which people can check on trains’ location and presence of passengers.Southern Railways on Thursday announced suspension of all train traffic between Trivandrum- Ernakulam and Trivandrum via Kottayam, between Ernakulam and Shoranur as well as Palghat and Shoranur and Shoranur to Kozhikode. “It is reported that water is flowing on track and passed the danger level at many places.
