Tirupur: An 11-year-old girl was killed here on Monday after a tempo ran her over when she fell from a moped.The deceased was identified as K Karnika of Kumar Nagar. “She, along with her father K Karuppusamy, was going to their home on a moped. When they reached Khadi complex at Kumar Nagar on Avinashi Road, a tempo hit their vehicle. Karnika fell off from the vehicle and was run over by the tempo. Karuppusamy was admitted in a hospital with severe injuries.The Tirupur north police have registered a case.
