3694 mcft water will be released to the areas covered under Old Ayacut in both the districts while the areas coming under New Ayacut in Tirupur district will get 1521 mcft water, the press release further stated. Tirupur: The chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has ordered to release water from Amaravathi dam in the district.“As per the request of the farmers from Tirupur and Karur districts, I have ordered the public works department (PWD) to release 5215 mcft water from Amaravathi dam for 15 days from September 20,” the release stated.As many as 47, 117 acres of the both districts will be benefited.
