“As the government fails to take proper action on the inquiry commissions’ reports, the inquiries are called eyewash. Coimbatore: Retired justice Rajeswaran, who is heading a commission to investigate the irregularities in the co-operative society election in the western region, on Thursday said that he will conduct inquiry into seven cases on Friday and eight cases on Saturday. As the commission has not been given enough time, it will speed up the inquiry,” he told reporters. The commission will first take up cases from Coimbatore. The commission’s duty is to submit the report to the state government.”The inquiry into the violence at the end of the jallikattu protest will be completed in December in Madurai and the report will be submitted to the government within seven months, Rajeswaran added.
