123 stolen motorcycles retrieved

Police have got eight days custody of Rasool and his accomplice Isakkipandi and have brought them to Tirunelveli for detailed investigation.Police had seized 41 stolen motorcycles from various buyers in Tirunelveli a week ago and retrieved 75 more motorcycles on Thursday. The trio was selling the stolen bikes at very low prices to farmers and villagers in and around Tirunelveli, sources said. Coimbatore: After recovering 123 motorcycles from a bike thief, police have instructed parcel service companies to inform them if anyone uses their service to transport two-wheelers multiple times.A team of city police has been camping in Tirunelveli for more than a week to recover stolen motorcycles after arresting 43-year-old Rasool Mohideen of Eruvadi. “Rasool had been stealing motorcycles from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and other districts since 2017. He used to transport them to Tirunelveli through private parcel services,” a police officer said.

The trio was selling the stolen bikes at very low prices to farmers and villagers in and around Tirunelveli, sources said. “Rasool had been stealing motorcycles from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and other districts since 2017. He used to transport them to Tirunelveli through private parcel services,” a police officer said.
