18-yr-old man found murdered, search on to arrest accused

Coimbatore: An 18-year-old youth was found murdered at Pappampatti Pirivu here on Sunday morning.The deceased was identified as A Ajaykumar of MGR Nagar at Pappampatti Pirivu. His body was found along the road near Pappampatti Mahakavi Nagar. After visiting a bakery located near Pappampatti Four Road along with his friends, Ajaykumar and a friend had bought liquor from a Tasmac bar around 11pm. “He was working as an assistant in an engineering workshop and had left home at 10pm on Saturday. Two deep injuries were found on the head,” a police officer said.A sniffer dog was brought to the spot.

Forensic experts inspected the crime scene. The body was later sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.Superintendent of police R Pandiarajan has formed three special teams to nab the murderers.Ajaykumar is survived by father Anandakumar, mother Masilamani and three brothers.Sulur police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. tnn
