As many as 3,072 cases, including motor claims tribunal original petition cases, cheque cases, civil cases, land acquisition cases, pre-litigation cases and petty cases were solved. Principal district judge R Sakthivel issued the order.The lok adalat was held as per the National Legal Aid Services Authority’s order. But, the state government gave a meagre compensation.Demanding more, the landowners filed five cases before the second additional sub-court. After talks between the judges, landowners and TNHB officials, TNHB agreed to provide the compensation. The court ordered TNHB to provide Rs 1crore to them.At the lok adalat held in the Coimbatore Integrated Court Complex on Saturday, a group of landowners, who had filed three cases, agreed to receive Rs 43.36lakh as compensation from TNHB.
