Gold heist: Car used by accused found on city’s outskirts

The gang waylaid the vehicle near KG Chavadi on Cochin-Coimbatore bypass road and looted the ornaments.
The vehicle was registered in Chennai and when we contacted the registered owner, he told us that he had sold the car to a person in Coimbatore long back.
