2 arrested for job scam

Tirupur: The city police have arrested two people, who cheated several people in Tirupur and Madurai by promising them government jobs. Arun had told them that he was working in the secretariat. They are on the lookout for Karthikeyan.About 10 people from Tirupur and Madurai had lodged complaint against Arun and Karthikeyan after they received up to Rs 8lakh from them by promising jobs in various government departments. The duo failed to do so and refused to return the money.The complainants said that Karthikeyan claimed that he was working as one of 13 personal assistants to the chief secretary. One of them posed as the state chief secretary, Girija Vaidyanathan, to dupe the job seekers, police sources said.Police identified them as AL Arun of Othakadai in Madurai and V Rajeshwaran of Vavipalayam in Tirupur.
