Hassle-free op: Government digitizes financial transaction in 14 districts

COIMBATORE: More than 32,000 government employees and 45,000 pensioners from the district will get a hassle-free and quick service from the treasuries and accounts department as the state government has digitized their service records and automated the entire transaction procedure.Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday launched the Integrated Financial and Human Resources Management System (IFHRMS) software in 14 districts , including Coimbatore, Erode and Tirupur, through video conferencing.“Until recently, the drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) submitted the bills manually by visiting the department. It takes at least 10 days to clear the bills and complete the transactions.
