Coimbatore remains hospitable to destitutes

‘Eera Nenjam’ Mahendiran called me up after 15 days and told that Sasikala is there with them safe. Hair dishevelled and clothes shabby, Rajeswari, 55, was roaming along the roads of Coimbatore for more than six months. I took a random bus and ended up on the streets in Coimbatore. Since the elderly lose memory of their address they end up begging on the streets until they are rescued. Sasi and my baby Muniamma are very happy with me now,” he said.Police say on any given day, there was at least one destitute person landing in Coimbatore.
