Coimbatore: The Pollachi east police on Tuesday arrested a 58-year-old lawyer for allegedly circulating handbills and pasting wall posters against chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami using derogatory words.N Shanavas Khan, 58, of Spring Field Road at Jothi Nagar D Colony in Pollachi, was booked by the Pollachi east police under sections 153 of the Indian Penal Code, 7 (1) (a) Criminal Law (Amendment) Act and 4 (1) of the Tamil Nadu Open Places Disfigurement Act.Police said Khan pasted wall posters in and around Pollachi criticizing the chief minister.
