Udhagamandalam: A team officials from the Ooty municipality locked and sealed 13 buildings, including two buildings under construction, in the town on Thursday for violating building usage rules or deviation in approved plans.Town planning officer of the municipality Ilango said, “We have identified at least 68 buildings in the town which have violated building rules. The operation will continue till we seal all the 68 identified unauthorized buildings.”Of the 13 buildings, 11 located at different places in the town were being used for commercial purposes while the approvals were issued only for dwelling houses. One building under construction near Lovedale was found with a lapsed building license.
