‘TN is looking forward to PM’s Tirupur visit’

Coimbatore: A day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tirupur, state BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan said the whole of Tamil Nadu is looking forward to the occasion. “The Tirupur gathering would be turning point because people from nine Lok Sabha constituencies are expected to attend,” she said. Recently, a former defence secretary has given an interview in Kochi stating that there was no corruption. She said she believe that the event will be a turning point for the BJP’s campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Soundararajan said the prime minister on Sunday will be inaugurating a lot of schemes during the Tirupur visit. “It is not just BJP cadres, but the entire Tamil Nadu that is looking forward to his visit,” she said.Reacting to the opposition’s allegations of corruption regarding the Rafale deal, Soundararajan said, “PM Modi is putting Tamil Nadu on a growth path and that is a fact that the Congress cannot digest.
