Hindu outfits pay homage to victims of serial blasts

On Thursday evening, the Hindu outfits conducted a procession at RS Puram and paid floral tribute to those killed in the blasts.After the event, BJP national secretary H Raja met reporters and said that V Ramalingam of Kumbakonam, a 42-year-old PMK functionary who was murdered on Tuesday, was targeted for opposing religious conversion. The government should bring an anti-conversion act, he said. “The party headquarters will decide about the alliance for the Lok Sabha election. Anti-nationals are leading DMK, not party president MK Stalin. All opposition parties are corrupt,” he said.The city police arrested 581 members of the outfits, including 24 women, who conducted a procession at RS Puram.Police had arrested 40 Hindu Makkal Katchi cadres and its president Arjun Sampath for conducting a procession without permission in the morning.Hindu Bharath Sena members performed obsequies to the victims and tonsured their heads at Perur.
