Lok Sabha elections: Zonal officers given training to operate EVMs, VVPATs, control units

They checked the VVPAT, ballot units and control unit devices.Officials said the zonal officers were also given training to detect the errors in EVMs. COIMBATORE: The district administration gave training to zonal officers in Coimbatore North assembly constituency to operate electronic voting machines ( EVMs ), control units and VVPAT (voter-verifiable paper audit trial) here on Friday.More than 100 officials from revenue department took part in the training. Such training will be given repeatedly in the coming days to ensure that polling in the Lok Sabha elections will be held without any error.Polling will be held on April 18. They can set the candidate details in the EVMs.
