Police have registered an FIR against them under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 294(b) (uttering obscene word in public place), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 506(2) (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. COIMBATORE: Mani of Pollachi, who was absconding after allegedly attacking the brother of the complainant in the Pollachi sexual assault case, surrendered before the chief judicial magistrate court here on Monday. He was lodged in the Coimbatore Central Prison Other accused in the case ‘Bar’ Nagaraj, Senthil, Babu and Vasanthakumar, were arrested on February 25 and 26.The victim’s brother had filed a police complaint alleging that the gang threatened him when he tried to file a complaint against Thirunavukarasu, the prime accused in the sexual assault case.
