Coimbatore: Missing seven-year-old girl found murdered

COIMBATORE: A seven-year-old girl, who went missing on Monday, was found murdered near her house in Pannimadai area on Tuesday.The girl, a Class I student of a government school, was last seen when she was playing in front of her house on Monday evening.The family members lodged a missing complaint and launched a frantic search in the locality throughout the night. Her body was found about 50 metre from the house in the morning with injuries on the head. Police are yet to zero in on the motive and the suspect.Parents and relatives of the girl staged protest in front of Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday afternoon where the body was brought for autopsy. They demanded the police to arrest the culprit immediately. Police said she was strangled to death.
