301 vulnerable polling booths identified in Tirupur constituency

Tirupur: The Tirupur Lok Sabha constituency has 301 vulnerable polling booths, returning officer KS Palanisamy said here on Tuesday.“There are 1,704 polling booths and 10 axillary polling booths in the constituency, which includes Tirupur north, Tirupur south, Gobichettipalayam, Anthiyur, Bhavani and Perundurai assembly constituencies,” he told reporters. “We have increased the number of flying squads to four, including three flying squads and one static surveillance teams. We have completed inspection in polling booths and have ensured basic amenities and required facilities. Training for polling personnel will begin from March 30.”The district election cell has launched a WhatsApp number93852 86604exclusively for attending queries of differently-abled voters. There are more than 9,600 differently-abled voters in the district.
