I drop and pick her up from her school,” 34-year-old Chitra, who works under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), told TOI.Elders accompany girl children, whenever they go out. “We can’t let them play outside until the criminal is caught,” Chitra said and blamed police for not arresting the perpetrator. “They had promised to arrest the killer before 3pm on Thursday.”After picking up more than 15 suspects, the rural police are yet to zero in on the killer.
