Salem: A 45-year-old man , his wife and their daughter were found hanging in their house at Poolavari in Salem district on Saturday morning. Police are yet to ascertain the reason for their deaths.Police identified the deceased as S Rajkumar, 45, Sumathi, 37, and their daughter Ramya, 19. While Rajkumar was a driver, his wife was a homemaker and Ramya studied in a private college.“On Saturday morning, when the deceased’s house remained closed till 9am, their neighours knocked on the door and when it was not opened, they peeped through a gap in the door and found them hanging,” said a police officer.Immediately, they alerted the Kondalampatty police, who reached the spot and broke open the door. They retrieved the bodies and sent them to the government hospital in Salem for postmortem.“We have not recovered any suicide note from the house. During a preliminary inquiry, we came to know that Ramya was in love with a guy in her college and Rajkumar had chided her for it. But we are yet to ascertain whether it led to subsequent incident,” the officer said.A case was registered and further inquiry is on.
