Coimbatore: A motorcycle-borne miscreant snatched a 10-sovereign gold chain from a 59-year-old woman at Ponnurangam Road in RS Puram on Saturday.He had had targeted Prabha, wife of Prakash of Ponnurangam Road. Sasi, wife of Umapathi of Shasthiri Nagar at Ondipudur, was on the way to her house from a clinic when the miscreant robbed her. The RS Puram (crime) police have registered a case and formed a special team to nab the snatcher.In another incident, a 36-year-old woman was robbed of her six-sovereign of gold chain at knife-point at Ondipudur on Friday night. Based on her complaint, the Singanallur (crime) police have registered a case. The snatcher managed to flee even though passersby tried to stop him.
