Paper evaluation: Tamil Nadu govt urged to clear dues to teachers

TIRUPUR: A school teachers' association has urged the Tamil Nadu government to disburse payments to teachers who were involved in paper evaluation last year.
The government would provide grant Rs 53 per day for teachers who evaluate Class X board exam papers and Rs 80 forpapers of the Classes XI and XII board exams.
We urge the government to immediately clear the dues," he added.
"We heard that in many districts, including Sivaganga and Trichy, the dues were cleared.
"While the school education department has not yet cleared grant to teachers who evaluated Class X, Class XI and Class XII board exam answer sheets in Tirupur district last year, the government has issued orders regarding the evaluation to be done for the school board exams this year," said Tamil Nadu Asariyar Munettra Kazhagam’s Tirupur district president O Sundaramurthy.
