Coimbatore: Padma Shri recipient Dr RV Ramani, founder and managing trustee of Sankara Eye Foundation India, was felicitated by various trade and service organisations in the city at a function held at the Hindustan College of Arts and Science here on Saturday.President Ram Nath Kovind had conferred the prestigious Padma Shri on Dr Ramani in recognition of his distinguished service in the field of ophthalmology.On Saturday, he was felicitated by chairman of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology S V Balasubramanian, president of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry V Lakshmi Narayanaswamy, chairman of CII-CSR (southern region) Ravi Sam, Senior advocate N V Nagasubramaniaam and managing trustee of UYIR Dr S Rajasekaran, among others.
