Kamal Hassan is contesting his maiden election from the Coimbatore South assembly constituency. The Veteran Actor turned politician accused the BJP and AIADMK of distributing money in exchange for votes in his constituency of Coimbatore South.

Actress Shruti Hassan has shared a picture on Instagram with sister Akshara and father after voting. All three masks can be seen wearing a mask, along with sharing this picture, Shruti has appealed to everyone to cast their vote. Shruti wrote, `The time has come to vote`.

Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan has appealed to the people after voting in Chennai`s Teynampet to vote for the development of Tamil Nadu instead of receiving money. He said that there is a need to make them aware of the distribution of money during elections and its ill effects on democracy and people`s lives. Votes are being cast on Tuesday for 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. Kamal Haasan came to vote this morning with his daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan.
