BJP Files Complaint Against Shruti Hassan For Violating Model Code Of Conduct

BJP has filed a complaint against Shruti Haasan, daughter of Makkal Needi Maim (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan after Shruti allegedly accompanied his father to several polling booths, as per MCC only a candidate or the chief agent can visit booths on polling day.

The BJP has accused Shruti Hassan of violating the model code of conduct. Kamal Haasan after casting vote in Chennai left for the Coimbatore South Assembly as Kamal Haasan is contesting from this seat he went to the polling booth to watch the voting in progress. The BJP alleged that Shruti accompanied his father to several polling booths, as per MCC only a candidate or the chief agent can visit booths on polling day.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused Shruti Haasan of breaking the rules and demanded action against her. Coimbatore district president of BJP Nandakumar complained to the Election Commission on behalf of BJP Mahila Morcha chief and BJP candidate from Coimbatore South, Vanathi Srinivasan.

BJP has demanded that the harshest action should be taken against Shruti Haasan.
