Coimbatore district recorded 1420 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 28 fatalities on Wednesday. The active cases tally stands at 14,396 cases.

2455 patients undergoing treatment recovered from the infection. The cumulative death toll has reached 1806 after 28 patients succumbed to the deadly virus.

Tamil Nadu added 10,448 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, taking the total cases to 23.88 Lakhs.

The cumulative death toll has reached 30,338 after 270 persons died of the disease. Meanwhile, capital Chennai reported 689 new cases today.

21,058 patients were discharged from various hospitals in Tamilnadu today. With this, the total number of recoveries in the State has touched 22,44,073.
