more-in M. Rajkumar (31) of Kandasamypalayam, Erode, died after he fell into a concrete mixer at his workplace in Kalappanaickenpalayam on Sunday afternoon. The Vadavalli Police said the incident happened around 1.30 p.m. when he was cleaning the machine. Rajkumar fell inside the mixer, sustained head injuries and died on the spot. He was married for two years and worked at the company for the past two months. The police said that they had registered a case against the company owner, Raghupathi. Woman found dead A unidentified woman, aged around 80 years, was found dead in River Bhavani in Jadaiyampalayam village, near Sirumugai, on Sunday. The Sirumugai police said that the incident came to light when the residents alerted them. The police recovered the body and sent it to the Government Hospital, Mettupalayam, for post mortem. Man dies of snakebite D. Kannan (65) of Nellithurai, Mettupalayam, died on Sunday at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital due to snakebite that he sustained five days ago on a farm land in the area. Two arrested The Anaimalai police have arrested K. Muthukumar (29) and M. Devaraj (23) on charges of assaulting K. Nachimuthu at his mess in Valanthayamaram on Meenakarai Road on Saturday. Man held for harassing wife The Udumalpet police on Monday evening arrested Paramasivam (42), a casual labourer, for harassing his wife. The arrest was made based on a complaint lodged by his wife, police sources said.
