CUTTACK: The newly-wed woman, whose husband Soumya Sekhar died after a wedding gift the couple received through courier exploded at their house in Balangir district on February 23, and who was herself critically injured in the mishap, was discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital on Thursday.The victim Reema Sahoo after getting discharged from the hospital has expressed anguish as the crime branch is yet to nab culprits behind the incident.“It’s been so many days but the hands of police and crime branch is still empty. They have not managed to get any breakthrough in the case so far,” said Reema while walking out of the hospital. Reema has squarely blamed the courier company through which the parcel was delivered for the mishap.“The incident has ruined by entire life and shattered my family. Had the courier company taken proper precautions before delivering the parcel then the incident would have been avoided. I hold the courier company responsible for the entire episode,” said Reema.“I feel the crime branch should nab the courier company officials and then only we would be able to get more details about the sender of the parcel,” added Reema.She had sustained grievous injury on her face and other parts of the body in the bomb explosion and was undergoing treatment at SCB since February 24. A team of doctors from different departments like plastic surgery, burn ward, ophthalmology, surgery and medicine treated Reema and after recovering fully she was discharged today.Reema along with her parents headed to her own house. Their marriage was just six days old when Soumya died. Reema has expressed her desire to study further.The victim’s father has urged crime branch to expedite the probe and nab the real culprits who destroyed the life of his daughter. “The criminals who committed such heinous crime should be arrested. If required I will meet the chief minister seeking his intervention in the matter,” said Reema ‘s father.The Crime Branch is yet to make headway in the gift parcel explosion in Patnagarh of Balangir district on February 23, in which software engineer Soumya Sekhar Sahoo and his grandmother lost their lives.
