As the BJP leader was suffering from kidney related problems, he underwent treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and later visited AIIMS, Delhi, for better treatment.After expiry of the interim bail period, Mishra had surrendered before the Sohela sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) court on June 29 and had moved high court for a regular bail. Later, one of the victims Dileswar, who was driver of Subrat, died in a hospital .Subsequently police registered a case under Section 302, 147, 148, 302 and Arms act against Mishra.“We cited in court that there was no tangible evidence against my client in the case.

He has also been asked to produce two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.Police on March 16 had arrested Mishra for allegedly attacking BJD leader and state labour minister Sushant Singh’s younger brother Subrat and his three associates on February 22, two days before the by-election in Bijepur in Bargarh district.According to Police, Mishra was part of the group which attacked the minister’s brother and his three associates Kartik Nag, Dileswar Sahu and Khageswar Mahamallik at Banabira under Sohela police limits in Bargarh district.
