Two years since request SCB clerk yet to get transfer

"The transfer committee will take a decision on the grievance," special secretary (health) Braja Kishore Brahma told TOI on Wednesday. She had sought the transfer as her family lived in Baripada. The request had been made in December 2016.Though all the official procedures for inter-district transfer have been completed and her case fulfils the criteria prescribed by the general administration department, the transfer order has still not been issued.The Odisha State Non-Gazetted Officers Coordination Committee - which has around four lakh employees under its banner - has been running a campaign for the inter-district transfer since December 2018. It has accused the top officials of the health department of not honouring the norms prescribed for it by the general administration department.Official records show that speaker Pradip Kumar Amat had written a letter to the health minister on September 3, 2018, to personally look into the matter.

Acting on Odisha State Non-Gazetted Officers Coordination Committee general secretary Braja Nanda's memorandum on December 5, 2018, the health minister forwarded it to the commissioner-cum-secretary of the health department on December 7, 2018, with a note saying 'for immediate and appropriate action'.Nanda's petition to the grievance cell of the chief minister on January 21, 2019, was also forwarded to the commissioner-cum-secretary of the health department on the same day.The sustained campaign forced the health department to call for a sitting of the Inter-District Transfer Committee on February 6. "The transfer committee will take a decision on the grievance," special secretary (health) Braja Kishore Brahma told TOI on Wednesday.
