Three new Covid-19 dedicated hospitals to open in Cuttack

The number of corona-infected patients in Cuttack has been steadily increasing. The Cuttack district administration had decided to transform three hospitals into dedicated Covid-19 hospitals in the district.

A plan has been made to increase the number of hospitals. So far except for the SCB Medical Covid Hospital, the patients in Cuttack are being treated at four private Covid hospitals named Ashwini, Sadhguru, Srishti and Southpoint.

500 beds and 160 ICU beds are available in different private hospitals of the district.

Plans have been made to open three new Covid Hospitals in Cuttack.

In this matter, additional DMET Dr Umakant Shatapathy, District Covid Nodal Officer Dr Umesh Rai, Accounts Officer and Health Department officials visited Rudra Hospital, Unique Hospital and Trisha Hospital etc. to take stock of the arrangements there. If all these hospitals were made Kovid hospitals then it would be fine or not.

Decisions were made in this regard during a meeting on Tuesday, plan of setting up Covid Care Centres (CCC) across the remote areas of the district was also discussed in the meeting, district Covid Nodal Officer Dr Umesh Rai informed the media.
