Cuttack district admin starts X-Ray on wheels for Covid-19 patients

Numerous patients are facing lung problems post-Covid infection which further worsens the impact of the virus.

Cuttack district administration is taking every possible step in the second wave of Covid-19. Cuttack district administration has come up with a unique initiative named X-Ray on wheels, which was started in the district on Monday. This initiative has been started to check the health of all Covid-19 patients at the Covid Care Centers present in the Cuttack district and those in home isolation. Numerous patients are facing lung problems post-Covid infection which further worsens the impact of the virus.

The program was inaugurated by the Collector of Cuttack, Bhabani Shankar Chayani at the District Health Building.
In case of emergency, the patients are being transferred to the hospital. To stop that, this system X-ray on wheels has been started.

A technician will be placed in each vehicle along with an X-ray machine to examine the chest of the patients. This vehicle by reaching various Covid Care Centers in Cuttack district and patients in home isolation will give information about the condition of the corona infected patients by doing X-rays of their lungs. A target of 1000 X-rays daily has been set for these two vehicles.

Patients whose lungs will be found been infected in this test will be immediately sent to the hospital from the Covid Care Center or home isolation. Due to which the patient will be able to recover soon by taking the right treatment.
