KORAPUT: The BJD's Nabarangpur MLA Manohar Randhari on Sunday dismissed allegations that his father and wife have obtained job cards under the central job scheme MGNREGS and wages of Rs 13,000 have been credited to their postal accounts."My wife Urmila Randhari is a government employee. Neither she ever applied for job card nor did she receive any. My father Damburudhar Randhari has also no job card and not received any wages," said Randhari while addressing mediapersons at Nabarangpur on Sunday.According to Randhari, the alleged account number to which wages have been credited belong to one Dhanpati Randhari and not of his father. "Another Urmila Randhari, wife of Mahesh Randhari of our village, has job card and some mischief mongers created this confusion to tarnish my image," the tribal lawmaker clarified. "My wife has already lodged a complaint against the media house , which telecast the story, at Nabarangpur police station," he added. Randhari landed in controversy after a section of media carried stories that his wife and father have obtained job cards and received wages.Also, the legislator alleged that a fake Facebook account has been opened in his name by some miscreants and derogatory posts are uploaded on it to defame him. "I have lodged a police complaint at Nabarangpur and at the cyber police station in Cuttack in this regard," he said.
