"A sum of Rs 70 lakhs has been provided for road and drain construction to ward 24, which has a BJD corporator, without discussing the matter with other corporators. We want a vigilance probe into the matter," added Giribala.However, BJD corporators refuted the allegations. "Rs 70 lakh has not been allocated to any ward illegally. After examining the proposal for road and drain construction, it has been decided to allot the money to ward 24," said mayor Meenakshi Behera.The mayor said for immediate repair of drains and roads Rs 50 lakh will be allocated to each of the 59 wards.
