State orders probe into tendering process of software scam

Dehradun: Acting on the complaint of Samajwadi Party leader and RTI activist, Rakesh Bhartwal, the state government has ordered a probe into the tendering process of the Rs 50 crore Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software scam which came to light in 2016.The software was purchased by the state government for Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) and there were allegations that the tender was allotted without following due processes to a single firm.Bhartwal told TOI that the CBI is already probing a similar ERP software scam in Air India.
