BJP MLAs get swanky laptops, students have to wait longer

It is learnt that 71 laptops and printers have been purchased and all the legislatures are being informed. Congress leader and former MLA, Navprabhat, said, “It is a sad reality of this double-engine BJP government in Uttarakhand that even promises made to schoolchildren are being conveniently forgotten.” And as far as giving laptops to the meritorious students are concerned, the exercise has been started by the legislatures in their respective constituency.”However, Congress leaders are unsparing to the ruling party for the delay in delivering on the promise. Secretary state assembly secretariat, Jagdish Chand said that the legislatures would have to collect their laptop and printer from the state assembly secretariat.The BJP’s vision document released by union finance minister Arun Jaitley in Dehradun, had pledged to give laptops to meritorious students, and that is yet to be done.BJP state chief, Ajay Bhatt, said, “The legislatures get the laptops as a facility and there is nothing wrong in that.
