Elder daughter to record statement against man who slit her minor daughter’s throat for revenge

Dehradun: The 11-year-old elder daughter of Victor Daniel, who was arrested on Monday for allegedly slitting his minor daughter’s throat with a sharp weapon, is now going to record her statement against his father.“We are going to record the statement of Victor’s elder daughter before the magistrate under section 164 of CrPC, as she was inside the house when her younger sister was murdered by her father,” Dehradun SSP Nivedita Kukreti said. “She couldn’t help her sister as she was in extreme fear. Later, Victor took the body and disposed it near Army hostel in Mayur Vihar,” said a senior police officer, adding that Victor was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime.
