Dehradun: A city-based RTI activist on Wednesday filed a police complaint alleging that chief minister Trivendra Rawat’s wife Sunita Rawat, a government primary teacher, has secured the job on the basis of fake certificates During a press conference later in the day, Subhash Sharma sought a probe into the education record of Sunita Rawat. “The CM’s wife does not have genuine certificates and has secured the job on the basis of fake documents. Earlier, the education department had refused to entertain an RTI application filed by me seeking details about her record,” he said.However, Ramesh Bhatt, CM’s media advisor, rubbished these allegations and said that “scores of such police complainants are filed every day.” “All I can say is that he has made baseless allegations. The administration will take appropriate action in the matter,” he said.Meanwhile, Sharma said that he will pursue the case despite “whatever pressures are put on me.” “I have no personal animosity against the CM’s wife. I just want the truth to come out. I will not give up till this happens and will demand for the police to hand over this case to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is already probing the education records of so many government teachers,” said Sharma.
