Haridwar: A 20-year-old girl from Pauri Gharwal who lived with her elder sister in Haridwar was married and sold as a bride to a man in Karnal district of Haryana The victim came to know that she was sold to her husband for Rs 1.50 lakh after she was raped by the relatives of her husband.She then managed to escape from Haryana and reached Haridwar on Tuesday and registered a complaint against six people, including two women.Police said that the victim’s sister works in a company in SIDCUL where she became friends with one Seema from Roshnabad in Haridwar.Seema and her husband Sunil told the victim’s sister that they know a good family in Haryana and arranged a meeting with them for the sister’s marriage.
