2 yrs since its formation, Tehri Lake Development Authority yet to name members, hold meetings

Dehradun: The Tehri Lake Development Authority has not conducted a single meeting since its formation in 2016 and all 24 members of the authority are yet to be announced, Uttarakhand tourism minister Satpal Maharaj told the state assembly on Tuesday.The reply came after a question was asked by independent MLA from Dhanaulti Pritam Singh Panwar. I would also like to know what has been done by the authority to develop infrastructure of Tehri lake.”Maharaj said that a meeting of the authority is yet to take place. Congress MLA from Chakrata Pritam Singh asked the government about the total expenditure made for development of the lake.The tourism minister said that Rs 70.4 crore had been spent on the project and added that details of the expenditure would be provided soon.
