ABVP favoured in DU studentsrsquo polls says NSUI

“Even the EC has now come out and said that they had not provided the EVMs which were used in the DUSU election. Dehradun: The state unit of Congress’ student wing National Students’ Union of India ( NSUI ) raised allegations that the RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Paridhad ( ABVP ) was illegally favoured in the students’ elections in the Delhi University.NSUI state president Mohan Bhandari said that facts have finally come out that EVMs used in the DUSU elections were not provided by election commission (EC). “Our RTI reply has revealed that the DUSU president used fake document to get admission into DU and the university should now cancel his admission and hold elections again,” he said.Meanwhile, refuting the allegations, ABVP state president Pradeep Shekhawat said, “They are making all these allegations after losing the elections. The allegations are all baseless.” This clearly shows that there was an attempt to favour them,” Bhandari said, adding that the administration as well as ABVP must now come out and clarify the issue.Bhandari added that certificates used by the DUSU’s new president Ankiv Basoya have been proven to be fake which disqualifies his admission and the university should now cancel his admission and the elections should be held again.
