Shootout over parking spot 1 dead another injured

Dehradun: Haridwar police on Friday arrested three persons allegedly involved in the shootout that took place in Roorkee between two groups over a parking spot, leaving one person dead and another critically injured.“We have arrested three persons in connection with the shoot out and more will be arrested soon. However, the second person, Chotu, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at hospital.“Chotu’s condition is stable. Some members of the other group opened indiscriminate firing and two persons standing nearby were hit by bullets,” said Manikant Mishra, SP Rural, Haridwar.According to police, Pappu, resident of Harjoli, was fatally shot in his chest and was taken to hospital where he was declared brought dead. We have even identified two people who opened fire that resulted in the death of one person,” said Krishna Kumar VK, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Haridwar.The incident took place at around 10:30pm in Manglour police station area of Haridwar when a local villager asked another person, who had come from Uttar Pradesh to attend a marriage, to move his car so that he could park his loader vehicle there.“This led to a heated argument between the tempo loader driver and some people belonging to the other group.
